Jump Rope for HEART

Jump Rope for Heart was held on February 13th.  This is the 25th year that Cleveland Elementary has participated in this national event.   Money raised goes towards the American Heart Association for research and education in cardiovascular diseases.  Students in grades 1st-6th participated in Jump Rope for Heart and raised $8.118.84!   Our goal set for this year was $6,000.  We met our goal, so the top six fundraising students threw pies at Mr. Heller and Mrs. Christensen.  Students participated in three different stations with the long jump ropes, single short ropes, and partner short ropes.  Students then participated in an event called “Dance your Heart Out”.  Students danced to a variety of dances including: Chicken Dance, Cha Cha Slide, and the Cupid Shuffle.   Students concluded the event with Tug of War.  Thank you to all the staff, students, and the community of Cleveland for their support.  Way to go Clippers!  Thanks for making a difference!

Cooper Arnold (1st Grade), Madysen Seely  (2nd Grade), Max Mettler (3rd Grade), Kristen Ryan (4th Grade), Sydney Mitchell (5th Grade), and Sydnee Germscheid  (6th Grade). The top fundraiser was Sydney Mitchell ($1001) and the top fundraising class was 5th grade with $2,110.92
