Jump Rope for Heart 2016

Jump Rope for Heart was held on February 12th  This is the 27th year that Cleveland Elementary has participated in this national event.   Money raised goes towards the American Heart Association for research and education in cardiovascular diseases.  Students in grades 1st-6th participated in Jump Rope for Heart and raised over $9,600! Cleveland's previous record was $8,100 set back in 2014!  We met our goal, so the top six fundraising students threw pies at Mr. Wussow and Mrs. Christensen.  Students participated in three different stations with the long jump ropes, single short ropes, and partner short ropes.  Students then participated in an event called “Dance your Heart Out”.  Students danced to a variety of dances including: Whip, Ney, Ney, Chicken Dance, Cha Cha Slide, and the Cupid Shuffle.   Students concluded the event with Tug of War.  Thank you to all the staff, students, and the community of Cleveland for their support.  Way to go Clippers!  Thanks for making a difference!
