Election Information


Cleveland Public School (ISD #391) will hold a referendum election on Tuesday, August 14, 2018. All
registered voters can cast their ballots at their polling place from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM on August 14.
Unregistered voters may register to vote at their usual polling place on election day. Find your polling
place here. Mail ballot precincts will now have the Courthouse as their polling site.
Voters can update their voter registration, see where they vote, and learn about ballot questions and
candidates at www.mnvotes.org

Voter registration can be completed on election day or as part of the absentee voting process.

Early and Absentee Voting

Early voting and absentee voting will begin on June 29, 2018. Voters can request an absentee ballot via
their county or the Secretary of State or choose to vote in person for early voting at the county locations
below. There are several ways that a person can vote absentee:
  1. In person early voting (see specific county information below)
  2. Print an absentee ballot application from the Secretary of State website or county website, fill it out and mail/email/fax the completed application to the county (Le Sueur or Blue Earth) and a ballot will be mailed
  3. Fill out an application online (Secretary of State website), once submitted the county will receive
the request electronically and a ballot will be mailed to the voter

Le Sueur County

Voting for Le Sueur County residents on August 14 will take place at regular polling places. Find your
polling place here.

Residents of Le Sueur County may vote early at the Le Sueur County Courthouse starting June 29, 2018.
Le Sueur County Courthouse hours for voting are:
Monday – Thursday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Fridays 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Additional hours on Saturday, August 11 from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Monday, August 13 from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

All registered voters in mail ballot precincts will be mailed a ballot. Voter registration can be completed
on election day or as part of the absentee voting process.
If voting on election day, vote at your regular polling place between the hours of 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM.

Blue Earth County

Voting for Blue Earth County residents on August 14 will take place at the Madison Lake Community
Center located at 525 Main Street in Madison Lake between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Verify
your polling place here.
Voter registration can be completed on election day or as part of the absentee voting process.

Residents of Blue Earth County may vote early via an absentee ballot at the Blue Earth County Elections
office starting June 29, 2018. The office is located on the second floor of the Historic Courthouse at 204
S 5 th Street in Mankato. The office is generally open 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday. Ballots
can also be requested online. Absentee voting will also be available on Saturday, August 11 from 10:00
AM to 3:00 PM at the Historic Courthouse.
